Talent poaching via Facebook Places

Creativity has a new mini case study of an "innovative" recruitment program done by ad agency Jung Von Matt in Stuttgart, Germany. In the proud tradition of agencies buying competitor keywords for jobs ads, Jung Van Matt decided to do something similar, but with location-based services.
Weeks before the official Facebook Places launch in Germany, a VPN Tunnel that simulated an US IP-Address allowed Jung von Matt/Neckar to create places in Facebook. So they created places for their competitors like Neue Digitale / Razorfish (Frankfurt), Interone (Hamburg), Fork Unstable Media (Hamburg), Kolle Rebbe (Hamburg), AKQA (Berlin) and Argonauten G2 (Berlin).
This not only showed that they were faster than the others, but also raised attention for Jung von Matt/Neckar with the high profile digital creatives. So when they checked in at their agencys they received messages like:
First! Want to join? Check in at www.jvm-neckar.de/jobs, we are hiring.
Hi, from the trojan horses inside. Want to join? Check in at www.jvm-neckar.de/jobs, we are hiring.
Of course the targeted creatives also spread Jung von Matt/Neckar message to their whole networks via Facebook.
Durex Baby

Condoms are a downer! So how does one convince guys to put it on? And make Durex the favored choice. Using the iPhone Nicolai Villads, Peter Ammentorp and Raul Montenegro have created what is called the Durex Baby application for the iPhone.
The app has been created for the Future Lions 2010 competition (www.futurelions.com) organized by digital agency AKQA and Cannes Lions Advertising festival.

Xbox Lips Jukebox
Video karaoke has landed on the Xbox 360 with "Lips: Number One Hits". Lips is the only singing game offering wireless motion sensitive microphones with the ability to sing from your own collection of DRM-free songs.
AKQA has taken Xbox Lips digital with the 'Lips Jukebox' on Facebook, which enables users to transform their photos into music videos, in a bid to promote the new game 'Lips Number One Hits'.
The application is hosted at the Xbox website, and uses a combination of facial recognition technology and Facebook Connect functionality to enable people to choose a song and the photos they want to adapt from their profile before adding singing 'Lips' to the faces and then creating the animated, personalised music video.
Additionally here is a video that shows the actual product in action...
